Drinking coffee every day is not the answer!

If you drink coffee too often, your body will get so used to it that you won’t feel the effects of it anymore.

Here are some natural alternatives to caffeine to boost your energy:

Avoid overworking yourself

Overworking yourself can lead to huge amounts of exhaustion and loss of energy levels.

Whether that be professional, social, or family, it’s always best to prioritise your time. Make sure that you have time for yourself to wind down as well.

Exercise regularly

Exercising regularly has many health benefits. Not only does it help you sleep better, but exercise also gives your cells more energy to burn and circulate oxygen.

At Castle Gym, we have 3 well-equipped exercise rooms available to anyone with any ability, size, age*, and goals.

Drink lots of water

This may sound like such a silly, simple point. However, water has been shown to enhance performance, from everyday activities to hard workouts.

Take a bottle of water with you everywhere you go and aim to drink 1-2 litres per day.

Limit your alcohol consumption

Alcohol is fine to drink every now and again on occasions, but it’s probably best to avoid drinking it every day.

There are various effects alcohol can have on your body. It makes you feel fatigued, sluggish and drained. Alcohol is not great for your mentality as it is a depressant.

Eat energy-rich foods

The best foods to consume for maximum energy levels are ones that are high in carbohydrates.

Examples of foods that are proven to boost energy levels are: oranges, whole grains, healthy fats, eggs, and quinoa
